New York Times: The Century in Times Square

// End-to-End Creative Support, Collaborative //

Once known as Long Acre Square, the Times Square was renamed in 1904 after the New York Times established its office at the intersection of 42nd street. Later the Times moved to on 43rd street, which was named as 1 Times Square, in 1961.

The 20th century history of the Times Square, captured by photographers who knew the area best, is preserved in the archived of The Times. The book features carefully curated photos from the archives of the Times, of the key moments which define this iconic landmark.
